The present study was carried out under the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with the residents of La Glorieta neighborhood, in the community of San Juan Solís, Hidalgo, during the year 2023. Its purpose was to describe the reasons why the youth of this community prefer allopathic medicine, with the aim of designing an educational intervention project based on the PAR methodology. Various activities and data collection tools were applied to identify perceptions and practices related to healthcare. Although several issues associated with the use of traditional medicine were identified, the study focused on one of them, selected as the main axis for analysis and the search for possible solutions.
