This article analyzes the impact of family involvement in the early literacy process, using a qualitative research approach. Through in-depth interviews with teachers and open-ended surveys of parents, the dynamics of support within the home are explored. The findings reveal a marked gender gap, with minimal participation of fathers in educational activities. It concludes that literacy is not exclusively a school-based process, but rather a social construct that requires a strategic alliance between teachers and families to prevent delays in the child's cognitive and emotional development.
